INNVIERTE

The Innvierte initiative by CDTI Innovation promotes venture capital investment targeted towards new SMEs and innovative technology companies, focusing on the Spanish entrepreneurial sphere.

Description

Innvierte promotes venture capital investment in the Spanish technology sector by fostering the creation and launch of startups and new innovative technology-based companies. It also facilitates long-term private capital participation by investing in other venture capital entities. It is a leading public-private collaboration initiative with a direct impact on the innovative entrepreneurial ecosystem based on technology. Innvierte's actions drive public-private collaboration and generate a transformative and mobilizing impact on the entrepreneurship and new technology-based innovation ecosystem.

Since 2012, Innvierte has been working on four lines of action:

  1. Since 2019, co-investment operations: Innvierte collaborates with co-investors regulated by the CNMV (Spanish National Securities Market Commission). It also includes support for professional investors (corporates). Innvierte accompanies professional private investors in investment rounds, whom it has previously approved, and delegates the management of the invested companies to them. The list of approved investors is available at this link.
  2. Since 2021, specialized funds in Technology Transfer: Innvierte participates as an anchor investor in three preselected specialized investment vehicles that develop a public-private venture capital investment strategy focused on investing in early-stage innovative technology-based companies, mainly relying on knowledge developed in research organizations. More information available here.
  3. Since 2022, investment line in strategic companies: Significant investments supporting the growth and consolidation of innovative Spanish technology companies with high potential for economic growth and considered strategically valuable for Spain.
  4. Since March 2024, reactivation of the Fund of Funds line, aimed at Innvierte's participation as an anchor investor in selected investment vehicles.

  • Over 384 million euros committed across 20 investment vehicles that have invested in more than 250 companies.
