Platform ONE introduction

Surely the first question that will come to your mind is... what does ONE mean? Easy: ONE stands for the "National Entrepreneurship Office," an initiative that arises from the Government of Spain within the framework of the "Spain Entrepreneur Nation" strategy, and whose implementation is articulated in the law 28/2022, of December 21, on the Promotion of the Emerging Companies Ecosystem.

Just in case the name leaves any doubts, let us clarify: we are an initiative whose main objective is to support, provide support, and accompany the startup and entrepreneurship ecosystem in Spain. This includes, of course, active entrepreneurs and startups, but also all those people interested in starting their own startup or entrepreneurial project. And, of course, other entities directly linked to the ecosystem: investors, companies, or professionals who provide services to entrepreneurs, training centers, co-working spaces, associations, etc.

And, we also aim to be the access point for international investors and talent interested in investing and/or working in Spain.

Our Objectives, in Detail

While we've already shared our grand purpose, we'd like to provide you with a more detailed look at our overall objectives. This will surely give you a more precise idea of what you can find on the ONE Platform:

• Promote Innovative Entrepreneurship. Our mission is to make it easier for more people to find the facilities and knowledge to launch innovative entrepreneurship. Therefore, on our platform, they will find not only interesting content but also comprehensive and understandable information about necessary procedures, along with a support service to accompany them at all times.
• Attract International Talent. The startup law includes new measures to make it easy for international talent, entrepreneurs from outside Spain, or so-called "digital nomads" to settle in the country. We will support them with complete information and easy access to procedures.
• Provide Training Resources. We will work intensively to develop high-quality content, specifically tailored to startups and innovative entrepreneurship, as well as other entities in the ecosystem. Our goal is to provide both strategic and tactical insights that help develop and grow businesses, with a special focus on the best practices of startups and scale-ups, both Spanish and international.
• Promote Technological Development and Financing. We aim to support technological development through the publication of content and reports, the organization of both physical and digital events to create more networking and connections, the selection and publication of the best national and international events, and an active effort to showcase grants and calls that enable access to more funding or in-kind resources.
• Facilitate Collaboration in the Innovative Entrepreneurial Ecosystem. Networking and collaboration are essential for driving entrepreneurship. Therefore, at ONE Platform, we commit to launching initiatives and services aimed at generating more connections among all ecosystem players, promoting and connecting the most emerging entrepreneurial hubs with the more mature ones, and connecting with other European ecosystems.
• Drive Entrepreneurial Culture. Our goal is not only to enable those who wish to start a business but also to pay special attention to initiatives in rural entrepreneurship, social impact entrepreneurship, increasing the presence of women in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, inclusive entrepreneurship, student entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship among researchers and technology centers, and much more.

An initiative coordinated by the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Function

Finally, it's worth noting that ONE Platform is organized within the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Function, specifically under the management of Red.es. However, ONE Platform is a cross-cutting initiative formed by a working team actively involving more than ten entities and organizations linked to entrepreneurship and innovation in Spain.

In the coming months, we will continue to develop ONE Platform and roll out new features, aiming to make it the go-to website for the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Spain.
